Technical Program Committee Members and Session Organizers are looking over the submissions. We may contact you if we have any questions on your abstract submissions.
Presentations will be grouped by topic and theme. Presentations will be placed into a designated session with other presentations of a similar topic.
Presenters are required to be present during the session. Perspective speakers - please make sure to save all three dates of the conference until the full schedule has been established.

WiReS Sessions will focus on fostering continued research and improvements of advanced wildfire risk mitigation techniques for buildings. Session programming will address how the state-of-the-science is evolving, including the latest advances, and provide an opportunity for inter-disciplinary discussions. Session content will also explore how scientific information is being put to practical use in the field and utilized in improved public policy, as well as the limitations and barriers in place today.
In addition to providing a full suite of scientific talks, WiReS also aims to feature presentations aimed at a broader audience. Conference Speakers will include world-renown experts and practitioners, as well as early career and established researchers.
Conference Goal
The inaugural UC Davis WiReS Conference aims to foster cross-disciplinary dialogues between fire resilient practitioners, social scientists, and leading policymakers, environmental advocates, and industry leaders. With a shared goal of implementation through education, the WiReS conference will make local, regional, and national impact through the presentation and promotion of applied science and technology advances to guide future research and policy development aimed at addressing the increasing challenges wildfires.
